Jeep Gladiator Supercharger Kit: Why We Recommend Them So Often

Hello, it’s Dave, Shake and Bake.

We get a lot of Jeep customers coming through the shop, and most of them aren’t looking for crazy horsepower. Usually they’re looking for a tune, trying to get a little more out of the truck, or wondering why it doesn’t feel quite as strong as it used to after they’ve added bigger tires, bumpers, a winch, camping gear, or a trailer.

And honestly, a lot of those conversations end up in the same place.

We end up recommending a supercharger.

Now before anybody jumps into the comments, we’re not saying every Gladiator needs one. A stock Gladiator that’s driven around town is perfectly fine for most people.

But that’s not how most Jeep owners leave them.

They add 35s.

They add armor.

They add recovery gear.

They add bed racks, rooftop tents, tools, fuel, water, and all the stuff that turns a weekend trip into a proper adventure.

Before long, the truck is carrying a lot more weight and turning a lot more tire than Jeep ever planned for.

That’s when the complaints start.

The transmission is constantly searching for gears on hills.

The truck feels out of breath towing.

Passing takes more planning than it should.

And if you spend time in the mountains, it can feel like somebody stole half your horsepower.

We’ve heard these same complaints from Jeep owners over and over again, and that’s exactly why a supercharger becomes part of the conversation.

Not because we’re chasing a dyno number.

Because we’re trying to make the truck drive the way most owners expected it would in the first place.
